Why eligibility matters
SmartDollar is an employer-provided financial wellness benefit. To enroll, your information must be included in your company’s eligibility file.
Your company’s eligibility file tells SmartDollar which team members currently have access to the benefit. If your information isn’t included in that file yet, you won’t be able to complete enrollment.
Why you may not be listed as eligible
There are a few common reasons your information may not appear in your company’s eligibility file yet:
- You recently joined the company.
- Your company has a waiting period before new team members can access SmartDollar.
- Your company hasn’t updated its eligibility file since you were hired.
- You previously left the company and were rehired, but your information hasn’t been added back to the file yet.
- Your HR or Benefits team will need to update your eligibility status before you can proceed.
What to do if you’re not listed as eligible
If you’re trying to enroll and are told you’re not eligible, your next step is to contact your HR or Benefits team.
- Reach out to your HR or Benefits team.
- Let them know you’re trying to enroll in SmartDollar.
- Ask them to confirm whether you’re included in the company’s SmartDollar eligibility file.
- If you’re not listed, ask them to add or update your information.
- Once your company updates the file and sends it to SmartDollar, you should be able to enroll.
